I had a lovely chat to my sister today. As a psychologist – she has great insights! Today we did a quick anxiety, stress and depression questionnaire. The results – am not anxious – well I knew that already, normal levels of stress – knew that too and mild depression. Hardly any surprises there.
So we [...]

In my pursuit for finding out what my life is going to be about from here on – I’m doing some sorting and getting rid of things. Decluttering I think it’s called! Creating a vacuum or a void… Anyways, I have been thinking that there’s not much point carting all these things around [...]

I wish I knew where to start with my pondering about my future.
I guess I need to look at what is important to me. There are a lot of things which are important to me – family is the most important. Without family – who are you? How do you survive? Where do you find [...]

The last few years have forced me to look at my life in a long hard way.
As a child, I always knew that I wanted to be a concert pianist. I heard a friend play the piano when I was about 5 years old and I was smitten. The next few years I pestered my [...]

How do you know if you have post natal depression?
How is it treated?
What do you do if your husband doesn’t think there is a problem - despite my repeated saying that there is a problem?

Had a lovely day yesterday with all our family. Lovely location – Flameson the River Restaurant on the Gold Coast, lovely food and lovely to see everyone again.
My darling daughter was perfectly angelic. Didn’t sleep but didn’t complain either. Very happy!
The lunch was a bit disjointed as we witnessed a ski tow accident - read about it here. It was pretty dramatic and seemed to affect us all in some way. Thankfully the guy didn’t die – but he apparently sustained some fairly major leg and hip [...]

I’ve been doing a bit of writing – not much but at least it gets my name out there…
Check out Babyology – there are reviews of all sorts of fun and funky items for children!
I have done a couple of reviews - I’m hoping to do more in coming weeks and months.

It’s not often that I have a successful shopping expedition – but on Friday I did. I’m so pleased. I hadn’t bought any clothes in around 3 years. So it was time to stock up – especially post baby. So we hit my favourite shop – Sussan. I found some long sleeve t-shirt style [...]

The last few weeks have been a bit challenging. I broke my ankle on the 28 February. I had surgery and was in hospital for a week. After I came home from hospital, I stayed at our place and then a day or two later moved to my Mum’s place. Mum’s place is one level [...]
