Just a quick update on life with my gorgeous little girl.
She’s now 7 months old - where has the time gone and woohoo to me for keeping her alive!! LOL!!
Our daily routine is something like this:
* wake around 6 - 6.30 am
* feed solids and bottle 7-8am
* play
* sleep - if I’m lucky! - around 8.30 - 9
* wake 9am
* play
* I usually go out mid morning and she’ll usually have a sleep during this time.
* solids and bottle 11.30 -1pm
* play or bath
* a little more bottle
* nap - if I’m really lucky - around 2.30 - 3pm
* wake 3pm
* play
* solids 5pm
* bottle 6pm
* bed for the night around 7pm
During the day we read a lot, play games, sing, talk to each other in the way you do with a little bub! I usually try and do some cleaning as well - laundry especially - who knew a little baby could create so much extra laundry! I’ve also starting to teach myself to play the guitar. So we will sit on the floor together and I’ll play the guitar and she loves to put her hands on the guitar and fingers on the strings! Very cute.
She’s eating us out of house and home as well. She loves her solids so much. In the mornings I’ve been giving her porridge. Then lunch time is usually some fruit - banana or some pear or apple that I’ve made up. And then in the evenings she’s been having anything from carrot, pumpkin, sweet potato or broccoli and combinations of same. I’ve been cooking it all up myself.
So I peel and steam/cook all the fruit and vege - all separately, then puree it all ( again separately) and then put it all into containers and into the freezer. If I do it in one go - I can usually make up about 5 days worth of food for her in about 1.5 hours. Not sure if it is any cheaper than buying store bought stuff - but that’s what I’ve been doing. Am looking forward to starting her on rice and pasta and cheese now as well! So I’m now reading some cookbooks for babies to get some ideas for recipes which are suitable to give to her! It’s so much better being able to give her solids - it’s fabulous. She loves it - so we’re all happy! Anyway, my little songbird is waking, so better fly!
