A little about myself.
I’m in my thirties and I was co-director of Kassan Events until I sold my share of the business to my business partner. (check out www.kassanevents.com.au). I’m happily married and have a beautiful jet black British shorthair cat, Claude (aka His Royal Highness, Claudius Maximus and a variety of other names!)
Aside from Claude, we were childless. In November 2006 I had a miscarriage at 17 weeks, losing our son or so we thought. We were later told it was our daughter. I thought and felt I was having a girl. Anyway, as at December 2007, I finally gave birth to our first child, a gorgeous little girl. She’s the apple of our both her fathers and my eye! We are delighted and blessed. Claude is even adjusting well to life with a baby!
My husband and I are currently living in Port Macquarie, which is colloquially known as God’s waiting room. I am definitely not in any hurry to get to the front of that queue. It’s an interesting place – if you are over the age of 65, but unfortunately we are finding that it really isn’t a great place to be if you have a young family -a barely 1 year old. When the Glasshouse is finished, I’m sure it will be much better!
I’m interested in lots of things – reading, writing, knitting, music, technology, business and the list goes on.
Hi there Kerri-Ann
Not sure if you’ll remember our email exchange last year – I emailed to say hello before we (me, my partner and our 1-year-old son, Kiko) moved to Port Macquarie. Well, just wanted to say we’re here! I’ve tried emailing you on the address you had prior to your computer dying, but it keeps bouncing.
Nice to see you back up again and thanks for the link to the handmade site for the bushfire appeal.
Natasja : )
Hello there Kerri-Ann,
Fancy finding a comment from you on here. Lovely to chat with you.
I read you’ve been having a tough time with Daina and the sleeping pattern. I know what it is like to be sleep deprived. Kieren would give us 2 hours or less between screaming when he was a baby. But he had colic, or as it turned out wheat and bakers yeast allergies. I was breast feeding him so whatever I ate came through to him. When I removed those things from my diet within 2 days I had a new sparkly happy baby. Amazing. There is usually a reason, it is just a matter of finding what it is. I know that doesn’t help, sorry. Just sharing.
Must go.
Stay in touch.
Hugs Jeanette xx
